Europe’s Roma minority struggles for jobs

Unemployment or emigration is a choice facing many young Roma as prejudice about them being lazy remains.

For centuries, the Roma people have suffered from discrimination and poverty in Central Europe.

Prejudice has made it difficult for them to work and integrate in society.

Al Jazeera’s Laurence Lee travelled through the Roma heartlands of Slovakia and Hungary to find out more about what the future holds for the Roma.
